My 2011 5.0 after 2 months
Hey guys,
I'm Colin, I'm new here, and I thought I would introduce myself and show you guys a few pics of the progress of my new 5.0! I picked up the truck in late February and started to mod it pretty much immediately. I wanted to get an FX4, but ended up with a Lariat for the sole reason of having cooled seats. I'll be paint matching a lot of parts anyway, and it will end up looking similar to an FX4 to the untrained eye in the end. Anyway, on to the mods and pictures! I don't have any shots of it when it was stock, but I'm sure you guys have seen one before...
Mods so far:
Harley Heads and Tails with the outer edge of the tails painted black
6,000K HIDs in the heads and fogs
BDS 2.5" Leveling kit (planning on something for the rear shortly)
20x9, +01 offset, chrome Fuel Octanes
33x12.50 Mud Grapplers
Magnaflow 14" oval body dumped before the axle
5.0 badges from a 2011 Mustang GT
Extang Revolution Tonneau

Plans for the future include:
Rear lift of some sort
PTM bumpers and grille with most likely a billet insert
Stainless Works Headers (when available)
Stainless Works Exhaust (when available)

Very nice and tastefull mods. Those wheels look amazing on there as do the 5.0 badges.
Curious as to your gas mileage with the 5.0, muds, larger wheel/tire and a leveling kit. Care to divulge?

Thanks, I agree! I like a little chrome when it's not overdone. Makes it stand out a little.
I haven't noticed any problems yet. I've got about 7,500k miles as of today. I don't have a part number, but I'll measure it to get all the specs for you. I'll take a few pics and a vid too! Yep, I LOVE the 5.0!!
Thanks!! My highway mileage with the mods is about 16.5. I was getting about 17.5 before. The look is worth the loss IMO. Some people may not agree though.
