WTH!!! Really????

Tomorrow I was going to spend the day detailing the truck and putting that summer wax on. But now I have to go to the dealer and deal with this.....

This tow/haul button literally fell out on its own. The plastic chrome piece is broken. The dealer said they have to order a new shifter. I told them to get the select shift I doubt it will work.

How cheap can Ford go??

That sucks, and I was looking forward to the pics. But on a similar note I used my tow haul button a ton of times today bringing my boat back from the shop, worked flawlessly. Who else really uses there tow haul mode? I find I turn it off on the interstate to kick overdrive in, but use it when its hilly or in the city. Hope you get it fixed right the way you want it.

I use mine every time i tow the boat. The interstate here is full of long shallow slopes. Its 100 miles to the lake and i bet i never have a stretch longer than a mile before im going up another hill.

Cheap? I don't think so. Overreaction? Possibly. Things break sometimes, even on new stuff. Just take it in and have them deal with it. Problem solved.

Well this isn't the first time it's been in the shop. This will be the third time and I have just under 5000 miles on it. My patience is wearing thin.

I can see why you wouldn't be too happy about this but in the grand scheme of things I honestly don't see it as being that bad. It's not like it's motor or powertrain - it's a piece of trim. I owned a '02 Caddy STS and had it in the shop 7 times in the first 3,000 miles for powertrain, hesitation / missing, 2 ceased heater motors etc. THAT was a bad scene ... and the last time I bought GM lol.

Hope you get it fixed soon and get to detailin' the truck. I got my screw in March and haven't had the weather / time to do anything to it / with it yet - can't wait either !!!

i use mine a lot. mainly hilly areas. when im rolling at highway speed and its flat no. Just depends on how much my truck is kicking in and out of gear.
