Trading in 2000 for new 2011 FX4 5.0 Black; need top and bedrug.
I just ordered my first new truck, a 2011 Ford FX4 Crew Cab on 157" wheelbase (6.5' bed), in Tuxedo Black and black cloth interior, but with lots of other goodies. My 2000 F-150 5.4 Supercab with 238,000 miles (!!) is being traded in; she still runs great but now has rust. I feel guilty trading in "ol Henry" who has been obviously so faithful, but time to start over. (All of my past three trucks were bought used, including my 200 and two 1977 models before that.)
Anyway, now in the market for a new cab (Leer or A.R.E. or Jason or ??).
And I'm thinking about a Bedrug. Or ??. Any suggestions?
Sorry, just had to brag. I follow all of your comments, which helped me pick out my new truck. Waiting for a build date...in the meantime, me and my 2000 will spend some more time together.

I just got my 2011 XLT Screw with the 6.5 bed in tuxedo black two weeks ago!
I ordered the Leer 700 Tonneau cover this past weekend. It's going to take about 2 weeks to get in. I decided to go with that model because I really like the shape of the cover. It kinda resembles the hood of the truck. I got the bed sprayed already but I also just ordered a Bedrug BMQ04SBS drop in mat for sprayed beds, and a Bedrug BMQ04TG Tailgate Mat from amazon. It just shipped out so I'm hoping to get it soon. I'll post some pics when I get everything in place.

Depends what u do with it but in my biased opinion unless you haul a lot of rock or dirt once you have a bedrug you'll never go without one again. Can't help much on a cap, personally I use a soft tonneau. Been very happy with Access on past 2 trucks currently using the Lorado and it seems good but not much time with it yet.

Thanks guys for all of your replies. (Sorry it took me so long to get back to you; problem with my thread access, now fixed.) I'm getting $1800 for my 2000 in trade in. Fair I figured because of the rust and mileage. Because I do all my own maintenance and keep full records with receipts, the dealer will have no problem finding a new home for old Henry. In fact, they have someone in line for it. I would have kept her but need the room. (I have other vehicles.) I will go with the bedrug based on everyone's response on this thread and other threads. Cannot wait for the new truck!

The new truck is in!
I received my new 2011 FX4 last Thursday. I just went on a 158 mile trip and got 19.5 mpg going 60 mph which included going through a ton of small towns. I'll posts pictures. My new Leer top and Bedrug will be installed next Wednesday. This truck is long (157" wheelbase).
I need to figure out how to post pictures. Always confusing for me.

Thanks!
By the way...I see you are at one of our Air Force Bases in Korea. Than you for your service, and enjoy the 4th of July.
And another "by the way," my son started his military career on Monday of this week at West Point. He got to drive my new Ford truck before he left. He had me sell his Jeep after he left (it sold within 24 hours). I'm guessing there will be a F150 in his life someday. (He can't have a vehicle for the next 2 years!)
God Bless our troops!!!
