Did you ever figure anything out? Mine's been doing the same thing as well. I'm heading out to grease the steering stops now.

I am having what sounds very sumiliar. I guess its a good excuse to go buy a nice tourque wrench to check the strut bolts.

Just keep in mind when picking out a torque wrench for the strut bolts that the lower bolt torque spec is 351 ft/lbs which probably requires a 3/4" torque wrench to accomplish that.
