I believe I left the top angle alone, the vinyl wouldn't stretch and adhere to the curve without tearing and bubbles...

You know that ALL FX2 and FX4 trucks come with that right? It's not a PTM thing. It's grey plastic and they all have it. However, if you do actually have it painted to match, please post it up!

Hey guys im going to ressurect this old thread for my first post in the forums, just got myself a 2011 ecoboost white fx4 Screw last month, loving it. Already drove it 8000kms from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada down and around in Mesa, Arizona and Vegas. saw this post on here and what 2007 loaded FX4 did with the vinyl strips on his grill. since i already used plasti dip on my badges and rims and loved the way they turned out i thought id give the grill a try (why not right) so imma try and post some pictures (i dont know if u need a certain amount of posts before u can post pictures) but ya here they are and tell me what u guys think, ill post another couple pics when i take the tape off after a few clear coats. in case anyone is interested.

All prepped

After 6 coats of white plastidip, instead of taping the little columns that run between the horizonal bars im just going to try and score with knife after dry and peel them off. taping was to big of a b**** on those things haha.

Might be able to use clear to protect stuff, depending how it turns out. Might be able to paint over top of it too.

this seems cool and I will have to look into. Just kind of wondering about the durability of painting plastic. Im sure roughing it up and a good primer helps. But from past experience painted plastic doesnt last to long

its not actually paint tho it is plasti dip, a rubbery coating (search on youtube) and if it ever gets worn out u can just peel it off EASILY. preserving the finish of whatever is underneath. great stuff...
