All those who have been complaining about surging, harsh shifts, delayed shifts, etc with the 6R80 trans should get a reflash with the latest software. Got mine done this week and it now drives like a brand new truck! Much better shift points, no surging, no delayed shifts out of reverse. This worked very well in my case and I assume it should in others. Apparently a common problem where other folks complained that the reflash did nothing or made it worse could be the dealership did not properly clear the adaptive learning memory. This must be done with the reflashing device. It will NOT be cleared but just unplugging the battery for a while.

 

The only complaint I have is the sloppy 1-2 shift. Did you have it before? If so did the reflash fix it?

If you mean like a surge/hesitation then a bump into 2nd then yes. Its still there but very slight now, 100 times better. I would consider it normal now.
