2011 Platinum -Heated seats & Remote start

Newby here, first post so be nice.

I can not get the heated seats to come on during remote start. I read the manual and went to the dealer, but I still can not figure out how to get the heated seats to come on with the remote start.
From the info screen I went to: Settings\Vehicle\Remote Start\Climate Control\Drivers Seat and the options are "Auto/Off" I tried both settings with the climate control on "auto" and "manual" and can not get the seats to warm up either way.

Has anyone figured this out?

They come on, but it doesn't light up the indicator. Let the remote start run the whole 10 minutes and then get in the truck. Also you have to turn them back on when you "Start" the vehicle with the key.

Have you verified this yourself?
I made sure that the seats were set to auto and the climate control was set to auto before I remote started the truck this morning (36 degrees). After it ran for 15 minutes the seats were still cold when I got in it. I turned on the seats and 3 minutes down the road they were very warm.

I had the same question a while back and did try it and they were warm when I went to my truck. I think it must do it on the lowest setting.

Interesting, I think my next step is to turn off the passenger seat and do a test for surface temp on both seats. Thanks.

The inside cab temp has to be below 36, or they will not turn on. I think that is too low of a temp setting myself, but that's where it happens. I had the same questions, as the outside temp was 30 or less, but due to the sun, the inside was warmer. Finally was able to test it at night, when well below 36 inside and out, and they warmed up just fine.

It is forecasted to get down to 33 degrees tonight, I will park the truck outside and give it the test. Thanks.

I agree 100% They need to change that by about 5 degrees. The only reason you do remote start is for climate control. Do you know what it is for a/c seats in the summer?

A note from frozen Canada...they do come on when it's cold. I don't know how cold, but they work just fine. As someone else said though, the indicator light doesn't come on.

An update: Parked the truck outside and the seats still did not work, unfortunately I think we have reached a point where the temps will not get low enough to test again until fall. but the temp only got down to 34 so

Its around -1 to -5 c lately. My seats always comes on when I use the remote start. Its alittle warm when I get in but not super hot. You do have to turn them on again after you put the key in.
