Yeah I probably will take some time to just sit in a truck and play around with a navigation system and make sure I like it. I didn't know about the nav and sunroof combo discount so I will have to really consider it.
Here is the truck they are pricing me at roughly $34,000 with the discounts:
Fx4 with luxury package
Tailgate step, 20" wheels, reverse sensors, ecoboost, 5 yr service plan, that's basically it. The rest is included in the packages. No back up camera on the truck right now.
I am suppose to talk with the dealer Wednesday about some final pricing on the truck with my final add ons like possibly a nav system etc.
Still waiting to see how quickly my current truck sells. Got 2 people looking at it later in week so hopefully it goes soon.
You guys rock on the information. Glad this knowledge is free and you don't charge a fee right?? Haha
REV- If you got the money go for the NAV/Radio - Moonroof. The sync works thru the nav screen as well. The moonroof is a classy touch. Only used the NAV once but it works great. I went from a basic 97 F250 to a fully loaded FX4, its nice having new technology - plus down the road if you plan on selling, all the bells / whistles will get you more money.

BTW what color you getting - I went with the red candy super cab. just tinted my window and added LED lights inside and out. will post some pics when the truck is clean!

Yeah I would love to see some pictures. I am aiming for a Race Race crew. I'm going to send some time in the cab of a few different trucks trying out the moon roof and nav and make sure I like it enough. I don't want to have any regrets after buying this thing.
Does anybody have any pics or insight specifically on the cargo management system? No dealer around here has one so I am just going off pics and a few videos.

Hey Rev - I can take pics of the cargo mang system for you when it stops raining here in NJ. I dont know how many times i.ll use it but it dosent take up alot of room when its closed, so i figured its worth it. The crew cabs are really big inside, I opted for a supercab because its only me driving in it and it has enough space back there for my camping or fishing gear. Trust me you.ll like the nav and moonroof. it gives the truck a nicer appearance.

check out Marshalls Red truck, its looks real good! I was going to get red again but i changed my mind last minute.

Yeah if you are able to take some pics of the tool system that would be great. I have been reading Marshalls epic posts and have been very inpressed. He has the exact color I am aiming for so that certainly peaked my interests.

  • Tailgate step

About $44,700 sticker with the credits, $40,800 invoice, $3,000 in rebates (today), getting dealer bids of $500 below invoice minus rebates minus $750 brochure coupon.

To me, it seems like a lot of truck for $36,650!

I'll add aftermarket N-fab wheel-to-wheel running boards, bedrug, tbd bed cover.
I got all the same stuff you got as far as rebates. My truck came out to around $36,9--. It ended up costing about $39,000 after paying taxes and dealer fee's. So be prepared for that.

Oh I am really not looking forward to the tax portion of the sale, but yes I will be prepared for taxes before I buy.
Bed extended huh? No worries. I have actually seen those things in use and I am very impressed. Ford seems to have done something right when they made them able to collapse. Thanks for the offer though to take some pics. You guys really are knowledgeable with your info. My dealer told me a few days ago that if I was still able to sign the deal within a few days, they would honor the factory rebates so I hope my current truck sells quick and I am able to do this thing. Will keep you posted.

Yeah I am using half the sale for a down payment and the other half to cover taxes (gotta love the government!). I finally posted it on Craigslist a few days ago. I figure it will take about another week or so to sell. We have actually been buying and selling trucks off that site about 4 times in the last year. It nice having a place like that and here that let you post it for free.
I'm really looking forward to buying my first new truck. I regretted not ordering it while I was overseas, oh well, live and learn.

Just one thing on the NAV system. The truck I test drove had the NAV system in it and truthfully, it was great, BUT, too many bells and whistles. You will be looking down at that thing ALOT. Not just the NAV part, but changing climate, sync, EVERYTHING goes through that screen and it can become a distraction. For 2k, is it worth it? Im not sure.

I ended up getting the same truck with no NAV. Yes, I had to pay 900$ for a moonroof, but my 200$ garmin gets me around and there isnt all the distraction. The mirror rear view cam is fine with me. The only thing i liked about the NAV was the rear view cam. I would have loved to had that, but you get EXACTLY what you want every time.

And this is just my opinion. My wife would not know how to turn the air/heat on with that NAV system. She would get frustrated and just give up. So, you have to think about that as well.

Kris -
Actually the NAV screen isnt to bad once you play with it. I know what you mean about the climate section as well, but the great thing about all the bells/whistles is that you have 2 choices to do everything, with the sync feature, you never have to lift a finger, you can just say what you want or hit the climate button on center console. It really isnt difficult.
I came from a 97 F250 with no bells/whistles and i thought i would be overwhelmed with this one, but i already got a good grasp on it.

The back up camera is great, super clear. I dont know why people are complaining that theres are blurry. Its great for parallel parking as well.

just my 2cents on this

One more reason to go with the NAV! The wife won't be asking to use the truck, and messing with the mirrors and seat. I guess I can program the other setting for the son. <j/k> LOL!!

Haha! I laughed so hard at that comment. Now you bring up a whole new point to this, maybe I can have all the controls to myself for once.

On another note, the dealer told me that unless I had my current truck sold in the next day or so, he would not be able to get me last weeks rebates. And it looks like Ford pretty much took every rebate out, including 0% financing. With that being the case I will not order/buy a new one till they bring them back. I know as soon as I would go to buy it, they would bring back the rebates the following week. I also got some neat insight that Ford will be allowing people to order the 2012 model around June or July, I figure at least by that point in time they will have the rebates back. I was stunned to see that the same truck I was wanting to buy just went up by about $6k overnight! Not gonna happen for me like that.

Dont be quick to dismiss it, sell your truck first and check another dealer. They might just be playing hardball with ya. That price did seem low in my opinion anyway, especially for a screw eco. I paid 39 (with tax) out the door for a scab 5.0 Fully Loaded
