What is the strap for in the rear middle back seat. Are there more back there? I am trying to figure out how I can keep the kids dog safe when driving and this strap may be usefull to place a tether to.

The same thing should be behind each headrest. They're for the 3rd point to anchor a carseat to. Hope that helps.

 

Thank you, I am going to look for the other two and attach a strap around them and a short leash to an approved dog harness. This should restrain puppy enough so he does not go flying into the back seat when I have to brake hard.
