Toolbox suggestions for 2011 F150 Screw?

I just bought a 2011 F150 King Ranch Supercrew (5.5 ft bed). I want to install a toolbox, and I've heard it can be difficult to find one that fits the shorter bed because of the wheel wells being so close to the cab. I'm interested in a chest style toolbox that sits in the bed, flush with the bedrails. Does anyone have any suggestions of a chest style box that would fit? I've had a Weatherguard in the past, but don't know if they make one that would fit. I just want to have a model in mind before I go to a truck shop.

a decent place that sells toolboxes will no what fits, and also test fit them for you.

i'm a fan of the UWS tool boxes, paid $300 for my last one (low profile) once i start my job again this summer i'm going to get another one in black just deeper.

dewalt currently manufactures the best toolboxes on the market, they are however - very expensive.

how much room do you need?

maybe 2 of these would work?
I'm thinking of buying them, I like the fact that they are easily removable.

I have 2 of the swingcases and they work great. I had a 48" low profile toolbox before that fits between the wheel wells but you lose 1/3 of your already short bed. These swing cases hold everything I need that I keep in a toolbox, i.e. chain, bungees, jumper cables, small tool box, shovel, etc.

It wasn't designed to be able to open completely when in stowed position because the bed rail only allows it to open half way, but it still works perfect for me.

Just out of curiosity, what year f-150 do you have? After some reading, I see that people have been having trouble installing the brackets for these boxes on newer 2010+ f-150s. I emailed the manufacture about it and they won't get back to me.

I have the 2010 5.5 ft bed. I didn't locktite the self tapping screws when I first installed and the screws backed out causing a lot of vibration. The vibration caused the rivets to pop out of the bracket. I called the vendor and they sent me 2 new brackets. I used locktite on the second one and haven't had a problem since.

I have a 2010 crew with 5.5 foot bed. I have the weather guard low profile in black. Fits perfect. Definitely makes the bed even smaller but didnt want my tools rolling around my back seat. Would have preferred the deeper box but dont think that would have fit. The quality is definitely there with the weather guard.

If your looking for a flush box BAK has the Bakbox with mounts flush under the bakflip covers and will even fold flat giving you full cargo space (minus about 2-3 inches) when it's not needed.

It's a bit pricy when you figure in the cost of a Bakflip tonnaeu cover but they are great tonnaeu's and also mount flush. And if your into tailgating they made the bakbox out of the same insulated panels as the cover so it doubles as an ice chest.

My dad just traded his 2005 Silverado with the 6.5 foot bed for a new SuperCrew with the 5.5 foot bed, and we thought the large Weatherguard toolbox he had wouldn't fit on the Ford, but it actually fit better than the Chevy, because the Ford's bed is so deep. Weatherguard's are the best toolbox. I'm a Access roll-up tonneau cover but I were to get a toolbox, it would be a Weatherguard.
