I am glad you have not had any issues by remove the air dam, We have had 3 truck in the shop last week with heating problems and we checked everything. We found that with A/C ON and moving in traffic it would run hotter then normal. I found that the air dam had been removed so I took a dam off a new truck and tested it and behold it was 27* cooler and with it back on. So it does make a difference I would put it back on any truck that uses electric cooling fan only, It helps force air to the rad.. I hope this helps.

wow, I don't know if is it the angle of your driveway or what, but the rear looks really high compared to the front. It seems other FX4"s don't rake so bad??
Not doggin your truck by any means, just wondering out loud.

Well, my driveway slope has a LITTLE to do with it. But not much. The rake on my truck WAS horrible. I didn't keep it that way 24 hrs. I had my 2" leveling kit a month before my truck even came in. Check out my new thread "Ford is all I know". Got a good pic on there with the level and new tires. MUCH better. The 2" AutoSpring kit got me almost perfectly level. Very happy now!

I just wanted to follow up with this. I never did put the dam back on. I decided to drive the truck without it and keep a close eye on the temp, and see how it acted. I have over 1,000 miles on it now, and am still running without the dam. No problems, no issues..in traffic with A/c on. I will be leaving it off.

IF I take mine off it will be in winter. Don't want a hard snow drif tto break it. Plus cooling much less an issue.

I know the closer it gets to winter I will probably be looking for something like the BFG AT/KO that I previously had on another truck. I know they aren't available for the 20" but I'm sure there is something though.
