Power Pedal install
Power Pedal install
Just an FYI. I bought a set of power pedals to install in my 09 F150. They were off a '10 model FX4. The switch installed in seconds. Wires were there and it plugged right in. Pedals went right in as well. But... The plug on the '09 has 2 wires but the plug for the '10 was 4 wire. My 09 is a late build as well. 07/09. After some messing around I figured out that on the '10 plug you do not need to use the yellow and the white wires. I took the plugs apart and after some screwing around I put the 2 wires in the 4 wire plug and plugged it in. The pedals worked backwars so I switched the wires around and now they work 100%. I'm sure a simple cut and splice would be easier. Not sure what the other 2 wires were for but I don't care. Now I have adjustable pedals.
I have been wanting to do this myself on my 2010 fx2. What all parts do i need to make this work? Never looked at a power pedal assembly, is it hard to remove the non adj and install the new one? Also with the adjustable pedals are you able to move them further away from you than the non adjustable pedals are?

You need the pedals and the switch, also the switch plate. Everything is plug and play if your get pedals from a 2010. 3 bolts hold the gas pedal in and 6 hold the brake pedal in. 1 pin holds the brake pedal to the brake rod. Very easy to do. I think it moves the pedals farther away but who knows. Could just be my imagination. Gonna watch for a tilt telescope column from a 2011 and put that in as well.
