2011 6R80 question...

hey gang,

picked up a new 2011 king ranch 4x4 screw last week...and so far really likin' it! but, i do have one question for ya'll. i've noticed that the 6R80 when cold takes an inordinate amount of time to shift from reverse to drive. anyone else noticed similar with their trucks? i have the 302 motor if that makes any difference ...

2011 here with no problems. How long does it take to shift from reverse to drive when you move the lever?

2010 here that does maybe what you are talking about. Its about a 1-2 sec delay before the shift completed when backing down the driveway only when cold.

that's what i'm talking about. backing out of the driveway and then shifting to drive to start going down the street. seems like it takes a couple seconds to shift into the forward gear. only seems to have the delay when cold. after it warms up that delay goes away. guess it's really nothing to worry about, but took me by surprise since my 2005 screw didn't have this delay when cold ...

I notice the delay if my truck is moving a little bit. So, I have come to try to make complete stops, then shift.
