2011 XLT iSimple SCC1 interface draining battery

Hello all,

I have installed the iSimple Sirius kit and everything worked as it should. I bought it from TSS Radio after they assured me it would work.

http://www.tss-radio.com/products/is...ury-vehicles-1

However the next day the battery was dead (300 miles on the truck). After much trouble shooting it seems that it is the iSimple Media Gateway/SCC1 combo that is draining the battery. I also but a new battery in and had the same results.

It seems that the Media Gateway/SCC1 is not turning off when the vehicle is off. I contacted TSS radio a couple of times but I get "never heard of that before, sorry".

I have looked through the wires of the harness to see if I can find a ACC power line but can only find constant battery. I saw a diagram for the 24 pin connector somewhere and it showed pin 2 as ACC, but in my vehicle there is no pin 2 on the vehicle harness 24 pin connector.

Kind of annoyed now as I spent a lot of time installing the antenna and making everything neat and hidden.

Anyone else out there with a 2011 and this product?

ISimple Fix

The issue is supposedly a high current draw with some of the Isimples. The fix is to update your gateway to the latest firmware. Hopefully it works, because it killed my battery in 1 full day of sitting.

$230

why didn't you just do the USB2 mod and use a hard drive? works thru the display and cost $10 + hard drive/flash drive
