haha, yeah, but after a while she'll accept it...that or she'll get mad at you and kick you out of the house a while...which will give you just enough time to detail the truck

Finally got mine cleaned up too. Ford did a better job with the FX4 rubber mats on the 11's but I still think those weathertechs look nicer. I hate still having to vac. around my stock mats.

Sweet truck man! She's looking really nice! How you liking her compared to your old ride? Time for a new sig too... btw, the weathertechs are awesome. They provide perfect coverage and I couldn't be more pleased. I don't vacuum at all, just wipe! Sts

Those pups always look wierd on camera Thanks for the compliment!

Here is the truck at the lake with my newly tinted mirror reflectors. What do you guys think of the slight bit of orange showing? It's hard to tell from the lake pic but there is a very slight hint of orange in the sun.

Here is a pic of them in work...they look more orange here because of the flash.

This final pic is with a flash inside my garage. Look past the chrome mirror caps and the bug guts!

I am really liking my truck over my last one in every category.

Love the ecoboost, I am just a little disappointed in the MPG compared to what they said it would get BUT! Having 365hp and 420ft lbs over the whole RPM band with 18.5mpg combined is nothing to complain about in a full size 4x4 truck.

Really nice truck!
We just had a week of good spring weather in Toronto and i couldn't resist and spent 3 hours cleaning the inside of the truck. Now we had this freaking snowstorm again and I have to be super careful not to put any salt stains on the carpet=(
Those weathertech mats, do they cover area under the gas/brake pedals as well?

Lusso,

Yeah the mats cover all the up under there. To put them in and take them out, I have to fold it and try to slide it under the pedals. Once it's there, it stays really well too. Worth it!

Man, I will be stoked to get that mileage. My 09 Edge FWD barely gets 17-17.5 combined. I don't drive the speed limit, always over and usually the first one leaving from a red light (so I can get to the next light quicker ). My 08 Superduty 6.4L avg 11mpg combined. I will be so freaking happy to continue the high teens, but with a 4x4 f150....

I like the darker lights Moose, hell the whole truck looks great.

Thanks Hydro, I feel ya on the MPG. I'm not even close to 18.5 combined. Maybe 13's!!! (My foot maybe a little heavy too)

Blacked out the 3rd brake light. I finally had some time over the weekend. It took much longer because the weather was cold and the paint was taking a while to cure. Overall I'm very pleased with the results.

Got that haze with some 1000 grit wet or dry 3m paper.

First coat of Niteshades.

Finished product. Very Pleased.

Looks good!

In the end I did one coat over the brake light (safety first) and two over the rest of it. Then I used about three coats of clear.

Your truck looks great! The tinted reflectors and CHMSL are a nice touch. That's something my black FX4 needs too.

Mike FX4, It took me a minute to figure out what CHMSL was but that's what acronym finder is for! I appreciate the coompliment. Yeah I think it makes a world of a difference with them painted. Even my WIFE likes the new look...she even noticed! Wierd...

Svets96, thanks for the compliment . I am toying with the idea of making all the chrome/brushed aluminum either black chrome or PTM or a mix between the two. I don't want to get crazy with DIY spray paint but the more and more I see the fake, plastic chrome, the more I get anxious to do something!

I cant say enough good things about my wheathertec mats. I cleaned my truck yesterday after a long HARD winter and thre is not one bit of dirt or salt on the carpet,ANYWHERE. I cleaned my wifes Corolla Sport with the factory "all wheather" mats and there will have to be some carpet cleaning done when it gets warmer(lots of salt stains) I told her that we will be getting her some wheathertec mats for her too.

That black chrome is a nice idea, I think that would blend in good. You might have to talk to Ford about puttin that into production and get a royalty.
