Thumbs down Ego boost Licence Plate Mount.

The ego licence plate mount is not available from ford yet.I was at ford yesterday to order one and they said they don't even have a part number for it yet.

Warn actually makes a hidden mount product for your truck.

No, I checked and it's only for '04 & '05 . The openings in the bumpers are different. So this is where my problem is.

I have an 07 F150 also and I asked Warn about their hidden winch mount, it won't work with our trucks. We would have to have a bracket made to relocate the mount. As much as I like the stock look, I personally figured if I'm going to need or use a winch, I'll probably be needing a heavy duty bumper as well. So I'm just going with that route.

I looked at the plate Rough Country has and LOVE IT.

however it is for 2009/2010. Would this work on a 2008? Is there a hidden winch system available that will fit a 2008? I am mounting a warn 9500 TI.

My 2008 also has the tranny cooler right in that space. Would I have to relocate that?
\Has anyone done a 2008 that can show pix?

My truck

You would certainly have to relocate the transmission cooler. Also, I don't think that mount would work for the previous generation F150, 2004 - 2008. It might mount, don't quote me on that one, but as for locating the winch directly where the opening of the bumper is at, I don't think it matches. Also, the bumper opening between an 08 and an 09 are different in dimensions.

I remember watching a youtube video about it and there was a guy that said he had it for the 04-08 and mounted it but he had to move the trans cooler and cut the bumper opening bigger and some other things. I dont know if it fits forsure but it may with some modifications

Any updates on hidden winch mounts?

I have a Warn XD9000i that is just begging to be dropped into the front of my '12 Supercrew.

I normally wouldn't do it as I would be trading my truck in, but the company is going to be providing me a company truck soon so mine will see few annual miles and most of it towing my sled trailer.
