SYNC limits?

would anyone happen to know what the limit is on the number of files on an add on device a sync system can easily handle?? i ask this because i got a new hdd for holding my music to play in my truck. (i filled my 80gb lol) plugged it in and when it was done indexing the music on the drive the system told me that there were too many music files in my hdd for the sync system to develope voice commands to recognise the tracks. i can only specify genres, groups, or albums lol. anybody happen to have any insight on this?? rockin away to my new expanded collection now just cant say that i want to listen to a particular track if i got it stuck in my head

Check out some of the discussion threads at the website below -- if I remember correctly, it is something like 10k-12k, but depends on several factors.
