Hi Folks! just get a F150 FX4 and came with bedliner. I have a question about it. Is the plastic bedliner attached to the cab in the wall near the bed door? I can see a large gap between the plastic beedliner and the box steel sheet. Thanks!

 

The bedliner with the exception of the tailgate piece is only attached to the bed with the cargo hold down hooks. In certain areas of the bed there is quite a bit of void space between the bedliner and the inner bed wall. The liner doesn't match the contour of the bed as well as you might think it should. For example, under the front stake pockets there is a good two or three inches of void space between the liner and the bed wall.

 

I noticed that on the one I test drove last month, there is a bit of a gap and you loose about 2" in overall bed length with the stock drop in liner. I just ordered my new FX4 with the Ford spray on liner for that reason and I was afraid if I did an aftermarket spray on it would screw up the bed extender.
