Drop Shackle Question

Hi, would a drop shackle from a 2004-2008 F150 work with our 2009-2011 F150s? I found a set at a local store and would like to get them and not have to wait to order them. Thanks

Also whats a good brand? The ones i found were groundforce

From what I have heard, no.
I did a 2 inch rear and a 1 inch front drop on my 2010 Screw with Belteks struts and shackles.

If I drop the rear, what is the net effect on ride, handling, payload, etc?

I'd like to level my '11 FX2, but don't want any real world sacrifice for aesthetics.

I saw an episode on "Truck U' where Matt Steele and Bruno Massel did the drop I wanted, not radical but just enough to center the wheels in the wells.
IMO all Fords, Car included, come from the factory set up for tire chains.

Is that picture a 2" rear drop or does it have more than that?

I've had lowered trucks before and my last truck, 05 2WD Silverado Crew, had a 2" rear drop, but it was a Z85. That's a towing package with heaver leafs and it didn't ride the best IMO. Does anyone know how one rides with just the rear shackles installed?

I haven't noticed any difference in the ride since I installed the 2" drop shackles a month ago.

Yes that is a 2 inch rear and one inch front drop and there is no noticable change in the ride. Mine has the towing package as well.
