Best size tires for an FX4 with a leveling kit?
305-55r20 hankooks
i ended up putting on a 2.5 as level kit front, and replaced rear blocks with 3 inch as blocks. I got 305/55r20 hankook dynapro atm's (on stock 20's)- no rubbing at all. ride is good, run 45 psi - only down side it i went from about 16.5 mpg to 14 mpg. good look, and tire match truck very well.
i had a few tractin control issues, but i took the truck back to the dealer and they installed the latest tsb - 11-02-05 - and i have not had the issue since.
hope this helps.

There is no way that you are only getting 12.56 mpg's. I am running 35's and I average 14.5 with no mods but a recalibration for the speedometer. And idk if you have a 2x4 or 4x4 but I ran 33's with a leveling kit before I lifted it
mine on my superduty at first were pretty quiet, now that i have 12k miles on them they are definitely noticable. not enough to bother me usually but on a 500 mile trip it starts to get annoying, but that's partially because i'm straight piped. if your trucks exhaust isn't bad then it shouldn't bother you, and the new cabs are so much quieter than my f250 as well.
griffd, with my old f150 and 35's i probably got mid 12 mpg consistently. i was a little heavy on the throttle and could squeeze out 13.5 if i tried, highway was around 16 going 70-75 mph, going 63 mph on a trip i got 18.5 and never saw that number again
edit: he was talking highway, yea no way he is actually getting that.

06yz250f i can see getting 12.5 in the city as i average around 13to 14 but highway is kinda hard to believe. the trail grapplers look great, can't tell u much about them as i have only ran mud grapps but i have heard they aren't wearing great. anyone have them that are getting decent mileage

as for mpg in my super duty, it PLUMMETED. the larger tire size also put my speedo dead on surprisingly enough, so i was getting a false read out for mpg before the 35's. 13 city vs. the 15-16 i was getting before.
yea i had an 06 deisel 4x4 that read 17 mpg city then i lifted it and put 35's on and it read 13 which i thought was about right. but i love the mud grapps have them on my truck now but i realize i'm only going to get 35 to 40,000 out of them. i do alot of farm driving where on a rainy day can be nasty that why i chose mud grapps

i've never heard of anyone getting past 30k miles on them, guy (employee) at four wheel parts was whining to me how his only got 27k miles, said he even contacted nitto to complain and tried to have them discount his next set of tires
lol well i wear them completely out almost to the cords. I had a set on my F250 and got 29k but on my lighter f150 i got almost 40k. no lie if i still had a pic of the truck i would show u how bad the tires were lol
