How to remove grille?

How do you remove the top clips on the grille? I believe there are 4 to 6 10mm bolsts and then some clip mush be removed at the top edge of the grille.

Check out my thread from when I removed my grill and put in a Billitt Rex grill. Read through the whole thread for details on stock grill removal. Hope this helps..

I got mine out with alot of patience. You need a thin metal bondo spreader, a plastic windsheild stick, and a small pick tool, similar to a 45 degree dental pick. Top it off with a whole bunch of patience. first, run masking tape along the edge of your hood where it meets the grill so you don't damage the paint, and pry and work carefully. Keeping a little bit of constant outward pressure with the thin bondo spreader. locate the area with the clips, and wiggle your pick tool underneath the fingers of the clips inside the holes they are in. There is a barb on each side of the clip.

You need small pick tools. If you don't have em, find someone who does. Or, spin down to your ford body shop, and ask nicely if one of their techs can pick the clips for ya. It's a design not meant to come apart without breaking, at least not easily. Engineers never think to build stuff to make them easy to come apart.
