2009 vs 2010 headrest swap question.

So, I know that the 2009 F150 had a slightly harsher angled front set of headrests and the 2009 had mini rear headrests compared to the 2010.

Question is - can i just order the 2010 headrests, both front and rear, and drop them in, no problem? Or is there something else at work here.

Thanks in advance.

A friend of mine with an 09 just put the headrest in a vice and bent them back a little. I don't like the 2010 rear headrests, they give you a pretty bad blind spot.

I could have sworn my neighbor just took his '09 to Ford and they did something (either replace or adjusted) to fix the headrest angle on his vehicle. Can't remember what he said they did for the life of me though.

I bent mine ! I can't remember which tools I used but the tubes are bent immediately below the headrest. Do it a little bit at a time.

couldnt have said it any better...the headrests in the 10s suck cause of the size.

I would like to remove the RH rear one on my SuperCab, but I can not get it high enough to pull it out! It is a hazard to see to the rear. Its a 2010/.

You should be able to flip the back of the seat ahead by unlocking the little catch with a wrench or something, then remove head rest. There is a thread on here somwhere about flipping the seat back ahead. maybe its just the crews...Im not sure.

Yes, I am 99% sure you can just drop them in, same seats just different size headrests.
