Wait........I DO drive in the snow everyday!! Well, except for a couple weeks in July, and we can't skate on the outdoor rinks those weeks either.

First time in the snow for this guy or what? Or first vehicle? Complaints about winter blamed on truck?! Wow, just wow.

TPMS: (because I know he will read the thread even though he says he won't)
1. Why not put sensors in the winter wheels? Tasca sells them for a good price. Why deal with the friggin light all winter.
2. TPMS caution will not come on driving around town at slower speeds. I forget off hand what speed it needs before it senses low pressure. You also have to drive a sustained speed for almost 20 minutes before the light and annoying beep happens the first time. Nothing to do with heat.
3. Sensors will not work in the bed of your truck. I have heard you can put them in your spare tire and that is close enough to the sensor pick-ups. These are only emitting a small amount of RF due in part to regulations so don't expect to leave them in your garage and your truck sense them at the corner store.

dang -- you guys are vicious -- must be the "Ford Cult" kicking in -- must bow to the great blue oval.

BrokeVW -- thanks for the info about the mud flaps. The whiners that attacked you should roast what's left of their weenies on your flame engulfed truck.

Why are you bashing this person for making a general complaint? He is just telling the problems he has observed, just like everyone else.

I do agree with him about the snow between the cab and bed. It's annoying if you don't get it out of there and you hear it making noise. It's the only thing i liked about the Ranger's i had the snow would fall to the ground. On the F-150there's that little lip that sticks out from the cab that doesn't let the snow fall to the ground.

Later Mark.

I got to say my truck does excellent in the snow. I'm really impressed with the way it holds the road even in 2WD. The All Terrain Michelin tires are great, better than the Good Year Wrangler Silent Armor Junk tires I had on the Sport Trac. Add in the traction control and this truck is really good.

With the V8 Sport Trac I had, I could drive off road, in hardened snow half way up the tires and never get stuck with it's 4WD system. I've yet to do that with the F150.

I'm very impressed with this truck. I've had a 2000 Xterra 4WD SUV, a 2004 Crew Cab 4WD Titan, a 2005 Pathfinder 4WD, a 2008 V8 Sport Trac 4WD, and now my F150 Screw 4WD.

The best trucks in the snow were the Xterra and Sport Trac, and the F150 seems to be doing just as good.

Get the sand out of your vaginas and give this guy some CONSTRUCTIVE suggestions on how to take care of his issues. Some of you are worse than Toyota fanboys the way you are going off on him for daring to open his mouth about things that are NOT perfect on his F-150. If you think a F-150 is a perfect vehicle I have some bad news for ya..........

*NO* vehicle is perfect. If there were such a thing, it would be the only vehicle still being made and sold.

We haven't had a whole lot of snow here, a few 3-6 inch storms. My truck is parked in a (unheated) garage when I'm home, so not much snow has accumulated on it since most of our storms have been overnight. I have a Weathertech toolbox in mine, and so far haven't had the accumulation between the bed and cab. Don't know if that helps or not, just my .02. Seems to go pretty well in 4wd, no complaints so far but I have Nitto TG's also. I agree with the lack of lip or something on top of the cab, I've had water drip in when I open the door in warmer temps but I'm sure snow would be an issue also.

driven mine many times in snow. totally stock. Its ten times better then my 05 was in the snow and my 05 had all terrains. I definitely agree stock tires arent that good in winter, but what vehicle's are, why do you think they make snow/winter tires for vehicles?
Everything else your complaining about is stuff id had issues with on every pickup i ever owned from an 89 s-10, 95 tacoma, 98 chevy 1500, 06 dodge ram 1500, 05 f-150, 10 f-150. So its all basics issues of winter driving, lol!

A pickup is two body pieces on a frame with space between them, every pickup has ice/snow build up between the bed and cab. I'll agree it is annoying, but theres nothing you can do but clean it out on any truck.

I thought they fit pretty good here.

I do have a suggestion though. If we had the tundras with the "jello" like bed it would crush up the snow and ice between the bed and cab. Maybe that's why they made it that way.
