What tires would you get for the 2010 ??

I just traded my Mustang in on a used 2010 F150. It has the ford factory 9 spoke rims that are 22". I currently have the pirelli 285/45/22 tires on them. This spring I plan on adding a 2.5" front leveling kit. I also want to add bigger tires. I want a tire size at least 305. Does anyone know if I can go a hair bigger without rubbing. If so, what size would you go with. I have done some research and the 22" rim makes it harder to get the tires. Would a 305/55/22 fit well?

I never heard of a factory Ford 22...

It depends if you want a mud tire or street tire.

I believe the Harley wheels are 22? But other than that, the 'big' wheels are 20's...

To the OP - you might want to double-check the tire size on your truck before you order tires. I believe you'll discover a "20" at the end of the tire size.

It would be easier if they were 20", but they are indeed 22" 9 spoke rims. Ford put them on a few of the 150's that sat on the showroom. They also put them on their lincoln trucks. They also added $6k to the price, but again I bought it used.

I was looking more at the Cooper Zeon LTZ Tires, but i cant find them in my size.

Just my 2 cents but if it was me i would find a set of 18'' or 20'' rims I liked and buy tires to go with as a package. You will have way more size options in a 18" or 20" opposed to a 22''. Then store the 22" away somewhere or sell them to recoup some of the $ you spent on the new package.

I have Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza`s on my 22`s.
They have a 305 but don`t have the 55 sidewall you are looking for.
They are a nice street tire.

Nitto Terra Grapplers come in 285`s that have either 33.23 or 34.47 inch heights.

Yep, that's probably what I would do. Better to have more options with tire brands.

One of those would be your best bet.

Jordan......I really can't get a good look at your truck, but that is the look I am going for. What kind of work did you do it to get that look. Do you have a close up pic?

I like the Toyo Open Country M/Ts. 33X12.50R22LT , 8.5-10.0-11.0, rim width, 33 inches tall, 12.4 inches wide.

Here's mine, of course there not on 22" wheels....
