Intermittent Wiper Speed

Used my 2010 F150 wipers for the first time on intermittent and found there is really isn't "slow" on my truck On all my previous trucks and cars the first intermittent position would take probably 15 or 20 seconds between cycles. This truck has less than 5 seconds between cycles on the slowest. Is this similar to y'alls trucks? I hope I have a bad motor because I really like more time between cycles.

The slowest setting on my '10 XLT's has about 30 seconds between swipes.

Mine is also speed dependent.
At 70 mph on the slowest setting it's like 5-10 seconds.
Sitting still on the slowest setting it's like 25 seconds.

And, I don't believe the motor controls intermittent wiper speed.
Replacing the motor won't change the time cycle, it only does what it's told to do

Do either of you have the option for rain sensing wipers. If you do it will change based on the rain on the windshield. I don't have the option but have read up on it in the owners manual.

Nope. Just an XLT.

I have rain sensing wipers. I guess I better dig out the manual. I figured they were not activated as they do not turn on by themselves. I had a lot of dew on the truck this morning and they were acting like they were on full time. I need to find out how to turn the rain sensing feature off if possible.

From what I briefly read, you turn the wiper **** just barely, like the slowest intermit setting. It takes it from there automagically
