XTR is a pkg on a XLT. You get 18 wheels, chrome add ons etc...

Here is a random example: scroll down on right side black XTR

I agree. I was disapointed a max tow Crew still only had a 3,750 F GAWR.

You make it a 6.5 and you get a 3,950?

Well, no doubt the increase for the weight of the 6.2L alone. I have to do a real scrutinous study, but it appears to me that if someone one really needs the 6.2L to do some real towing or hauling, they'd be better to go for a 3/4 ton. By the time you add up the additional cost of the 6.2L engine, the Max Tow, and all the other goodies, an F-250 can't be far behind. Then, you'll get about the same poor mpg, be able to really haul and tow with a more stable platform, and have a real truck.

The 5.4L also gets the 3900 lbs front axle. The 5.4L is 50 lbs heavier than the 5.0L and 80 lbs heavier than the Ecoboost. Can't compare the 6.2L because it only come in the heavy Lariat package and above. The others come with the XLT where comparisons can be made since they state 'max' payload.

Yep, the XTR must be a Candian thing.

Also somewhere here stated the spring numbers.

With my 2010 (2009s have different springs), I have the Standard Tow and have 2 full size leaf springs, with an additional smaller helper spring for a total of 3 springs. Somewhere I read that some none tow package trucks only get 2 leaf springs with no helper. If that's so, they never mentioned it in the packages and why the tow models are higher in the rear end, with more rake.

You also get a real rough ride, and WORSE fuel mileage.

Umm I said 6.5 (not 6.2) as in box size. Funny how you miss read my post onl to go on a sermon about a super duty...

Imagine that... I made a mistake. Although we've never met Power Kid, I assume you are human, too. Oh, and what a sermon...

I make mistakes too. I'm just sick of being off topic. We just want the #s on the new trucks. We can start a new thread on 150 vs. SD towing and the line in the sand.

Now those are some great numbers for a Lariat. Looks like it may well be close to 200 pounds over a comparable 2010 truck. That is a good thing. Did mentioning a 2010 take this off topic?

I saw a truck very close to the same. Had 1845. Amazing. I got screwed. Bought a 2010 FX4 Lux with Max Tow and payload is only 1421! It had those fugly 20in rims on it. (removed and replaced with 18s meant for towing. Did I really lose 200-400lbs of payload for wheels that aren't even on the damn truck?
Can we get the sticker updated?

Done, but one thing on mine is 4050 FAWR and 4050 RAWR. Only one like that I have seen.

Thanks.

So what was your axles ratings??? Looks like you forgot to put them in.

Only 1205 lbs . Do you have most of the available options?? Does that include a hard tonneau cover??

My XLT Sport Trac 4WD 4.6L 3 valve truck was 1288 lbs (1218 lbs with 70# Ford Factory Hard Folding tonneau cover). It's only options were the tonneau cover, premium wheels/tires, power seat, (standard for 2008)power rear window, side steps, and tow package. The Limited which was the lux version, dropped down to about 1100 lbs when optioned high.
