Disable TPMS

Is there a way to disable this system? When I am driving I have the failure warning come on, then it clears itself after awhile. Personally I think this feature is totally useless. If it would tell you what wheel it is then it would actually have some benefit. I am getting tires of seeing the warning, check all FOUR tires for pressure and they are all the same. I hope there is a Ford engineer reading this and takes this back to his team to solve this solution.

Mine have always worked correctly. Once pressures were low due very low ambient temps. Once one tire was low due to nail in tread.

There is no way to disable, and illegal for anyone to do so.

When the temps dropped mine went off. Sure enough the tires were 33lbs cold. I added 2 lbs and haven't seen the warning since.

Have you checked your spare tire pressure? That is also in the TPMS.

Spares are not on the system. They have no sensor.

It's not totally useless. Yes, it's a pain when it's not working correctly or when you need a second set of winter tires.

But it does help stop the 20lbs in one tire that soccer mom has been negligent on checking tires, zipping down the highway just waiting for it to come apart.

mine kept going off when I had my wheels changed, I got the tip to put them all in the spare no more issues.
