2011 fx4 vs Lariat
Thanks for clarifying that the e-locker can only be engaged with the vehicle in four wheel drive. Interesting that it can't be engaged in 2 wheel drive, but I guess if you need more traction, should be in four wheel drive anyway.
One more difference: With the Lariat you have the option of chrome wheels, but let me forewarn you, they are basically chrome plated hubcaps permanently attached to a rim ("chrome clad"). Tap on them, you'll be disappointed... I wonder what will happen to them if they touch a curb.
I'm not paying $45,000 and getting hubcaps!

Back and forth we go, here is my .02:
The differential locker is only in the rear in the F150s, however, on the Raptor in can be engaged in 2wd as well as 4wd. If you want a stock front locker, you need to go to Toyota, Land Rover, or Jeep.
For '09 and '10 rear differential locker was only available on fx4 and raptor, it appears it may be available on the other trims now. This should not be confuzed with an LSD (Limited Slip Differential), they are NOT the same thing.
I also saw something about no lighted vanity mirrors in an FX4, this is false, my '09 FX4 SCrew has this feature, I believe as part of the luxury package.
Borrowed this from another site , but um ya its ugly

Yes, you could say that.
Even funnier is if you have a 4wd truck with a open front AND rear differential, when you are stuck only two wheels will spin. 1 front and 1 rear.
With a rear limited slip and 4wd, 1 front and 2 rear wheels will spin, as long as the situation you are in doesn't engage the limited slip. In 2wd two wheels will spin *most* of the time.
With 4wd and the rear e-locker, and it engaged, the two rear wheels will always spin as well as one front wheel. Unfortunatly, when the rear e-locker is not engaged (which it can't be in 2wd (except Raptor)) your rear diff is open and only one rear wheel will spin. Having fun in snow etc will result in a "one wheel wonder".

Kinda, that's like saying a 2wd f150 I's a one wheel drive vehicle. If you loose traction completely on one side then yes, only the non traction side would be spinning.
I was just looking to get a rise out of someone! 4WD means different things depending on whos sheetmental the decal is on but I don't think it ever means true 4WD with ls front and rear. And yeah, 2WD is really a one wheel peg legger. My 70 GTX is 2 wheel drive, I have the tally marks in front of my house to prove it...lol
