2011 F-150 FX4 Pricing
2011 F-150 FX4 Pricing
I may be days, if not hours, away from ordering a 2011 F-150 5.0 FX4 SuperCab. I think I've done my homework to avoid that screwed feeling most people have when dealing with a dealership. Since I've never gone through this before, I'm looking for opinions if they are being fair, or if there are any other options I have to throw into the pricing game. I've checked with a few dealers and this is the best so far. So here it goes:
MSRP: $40,545
Dealer Discount: $3,852
Dealer Sale Price = $36,693
Less Rebates: ? (at time of delivery) - it should be around the time of the MSP auto show which they usually have an extra $500 rebate
Dealer "Invoice" Total: $37,293
X Plan: $37,418
A&Z Plan: $35,822
D Plan: $35,922
So is this fair? I have a hard time believing the invoice price as rock bottom or that they can't go any lower than the price I have so far. They don't want to talk about allowances, discounts, and incentives from FoMoCo that go in the dealers pocket. So considering it is a 2011 and fairly new model, do you think I can do any better?
They wouldn't give me what I wanted for my trade-in, so I'll probably do private party sale. No big deal since it's paid for. They did offer to do an in-out sale so I can use it as a trade-in to save sales tax. So if I find a buyer, that is what I will try and do to save tax.
I negotiated $1,600 worth of accessories to get installed "free".
They will let me run any amount through my credit card to get another 1% or so cash back.
The bright side in my whole package is I will get a 1.24% loan for 60 months through a local credit union. This is the one major reason I can't afford to wait until spring/summer. Cost of lending will be going up.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thumbs up or down. Any other bargaining chips?
I am going to my local dealer tomorrow to see if they will beat it, and I have a whole lot of reasons why they should!
Thanks for your assistance.
