I used mine on the beach too just to try it. Did just fine, just cuts out after 25mph which is no biggy to me you have plenty of momentum at that speed and helps not to break anything. To me the locker had been most useful in climbing snow covered icy hills/driveways, and pulling people out of the sand. LS would be nice to have during normal driving, but the new tc systems seem to do really good in 2wd to keep it straight
