2014 F-150 vs 2014 GM
It says Ford could shed 800 lbs from the new (2014) F150. GM might lose 500 lbs by 2016 and 1000+ by 2020.

Wow. I just read some of those comments. If the F150 gets about 30 mpg by 2016 that is going to be better than a lot of cars these liberals are driving now. Obama before he ran for president drove a Chrylser 300C which gets less mpg than a 2011 F150. A couple months after he bought a Escape Hybrid for show and drove around in big SUV's. What a phony hypocrite.
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said.
Wow. Just. Wow.

im not driven some dumb smart car that has only enough room for a suit case.
you ever see these people move...they show up in a smart car followed by their parent's SUV or TRUCK. god help them when they need to buy a new washer or something to fix the house.....the purchase will be delivered in a big ol truck
"In my opinion, it would be excellent to tax the vehicles based on weight. The people who buys these massive vehicles for commuting purposes should pay tremendously a lot more for the privilege of getting the upper hand in the collisions. They should also have to absorb the higher insurance premiums for being the survivor in collisions. The heavy weight wears off the road more, and it makes it safer for themselves at the expense of the lighter vehicles, and these vehicles pollute more. So it is fair to tax the heavy vehicles more. Of course commercial vehicles can have exemption."
