WHats your plans on the raptor when you get it?

 

I may have missed the thread but how did you make or where did you get the f150 blackout badges? They look sick

 

Great job posting all your mods and the progress you've done on your truck. I just got my 2011 Tuxedo Black Ecoboost XLT Supercrew. I'm getting a 6" lift, wheels and tires tomorrow, and I thank youfor your ideas on the badge painting!

What color raptor you gonna get ? Seems you will be joining fx4life and myself on the one way train to Raptor ownership! I personally can't wait to get my 12' in tuxedo black loaded. Lots of plans, unlike with the current one a supercharger onthe raptor =].

Nice you et to keep your current truck as well, I have a private buyer now doing the bank work on buying line for 38k.

3M 1080 Matte Black vinyl on my hood... had it done last week.



Did the lower sides as well.


Took your lead on the badges as well. And the previously reflective mirror inserts. And the rear oval. SEM trim black paint.

Blackout just a quick question for you. I've got a 2010 Tuxedo Black Raptor and I've hated the factory blue oval on the back since day one. Right now I've got a black and white vinyl overlay covering it, but that annoys me almost as much. You said earlier in this thread you painted over your oval with Nightshades and then just sanded down the raised lettering...Did just use sandpaper and be very careful or was there something slightly more involved. Thanks.

 

 

nice! i like those emblems alot, howd you do em? also do the emblems come off without breaking? or do i have to order a whole new set?

 

I actually had my buddy paint the emlems flat black at his body shop because I was nervouse that I would mess something up, my brother designed and printed all of the graffix for me, the Ford oval on the tailgate is just painted flat black with a gloss black vinyl applied that matches the raised letters and outline.

 

Did you take the ovals off?

 

I'm pretty certain that he just masked around the oval because it has the factory back up camera built in it. I know he took the other emblems off though.

 

I like the way the tailgate oval came out.. Looks sick! Where did you get the gloss black vinyl for the FORD text? I think i need to do that to mine!!

 

I appreciate it, yeah I agree that would look sick on yours! My brother is a graphic designer... he measured the text in the oval and created that graphic in adobe illustrator. We printed it out on the plotter at his shop on a scrap piece of gloss black vinyl he had laying around, and boom there was a sweet custom oval in no time!

 

Can he make me one and Ill throw him a couple of bucks? I have the camera emblem that you have and still have not painted or installed on my truck because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it for design, But now that I see yours, I want to go that route.. LMK
