Leveled with Cooper Zeon LTZ

Just got a Ready Lift 2 inch kit installed along with 33 inch Cooper Zeon LTZ tires. I was going to also install 3 inch blocks in place of the factory 1.5 inch, but have decided that I like the truck the way it now is. I measured after the mod and the difference front to back is less than 1/4 inch and nothing the typical eye can discern.

Here are some pics...

Very nice! I am thinking of doing the same setup... Did you go with 305's or stick with 275's? Hey, how is the road noise compared to the stock rubbers?

I thought about the tire size for a long time and went back & forth between the 305's and the 275's. In the end, I decided on the 275/60R20 size for several reasons:

1) I drive a lot as a small business owner and didn't want to destroy my gas mileage.

2) The difference in size is 1 inch in width and I couldn't justify paying over $100 more per tire for such a minimal difference.

3) I was worried about having any rubbing at all during any conditions and the 275's guaranteed it wouldn't happen.

I went with the Cooper Zeon LTZ's because I liked their aggressive look without being all out mud tires. I also have read lots of great reviews on the tires. They ride real quiet and make only slightly more noise than the stock Pirelli Scorpions.

I'm really pleased with the outcome. While I recognize that everyone has different tastes and requirements on the road, this was a great solution in achieving a more aggressive look without losing too much in terms of gas mileage and road noise.

Beautiful truck. I thought I wanted BFG T/A's on my next run, but your pics may have sold me on the Coopers. Thanks!

I'm with you...I think i will be sticking with the 275 as well. Last question...how did the ride change, if any, over the Pirelli's?

These tires are 33 inches tall versus the stock 32 inch tires. They also have a much more aggressive tread pattern than the stock Pierelli tires. While I was definitely expecting some noise, I must say that the Coopers added almost nothing in the cabin. There is some noise if you listen closely, but I honestly didn't like the ultra quiet car-like feel of the Pirellis.

Hey, Smokewagun, thanks for the compliment. I considered the BFG T/A's as well, but I was just more attracted to the Cooper Zeon's. Another tire you may want to look at is the Hankook Dynapro because it has a similar look and people seem to like it.

The tires were $760 including shipping from Discount Tire Direct. I also paid the local performance shop $125 to break down the old tires, balance and mount the new Coopers.

I went with 275/60R20's and saved over $100 per tire versus the 305/55R20's.

Hope this helps...

Not trying to hi-jack the thread Tony, but how do you like the Ford bug deflector?

I have owned about 8 Ford trucks and SUV's over the past decade with my wife. I guess just out of habit I've always put a genuine Ford bug deflector on all of them.

I can't prove this as I've never done any scientific experiment to quantify my suspicion, but I'm pretty sure that these bug deflectors do channel bugs and small pebbles away from the hood and windshield. So, I keep putting them on my trucks out of habit.

Bugs are bad out where I live, had to put one on my 07. I like the looks of the Ford one, thinking about getting one for the 10 before spring. Just wondered if it helped with the bugs. Thanks, your truck looks good!
