I'm done with the terrible vibe on my '07 SuperCab STX and I decided to look at a Vermillion Red regular cab STX with the 4.6L, STX Decor group with fog lamps, chrome step bars, 18" wheels and no tow package.

The dealer has it marked down from $26,765 to $22,765. Has anyone seen a similar STX in their area for more than a 4K mark down? When I bought my '07 from the same dealer I bought it for 7K under MSRP.

Any thoughts?

 

You should be able to hustle a better deal.. Im thinking around $21k and possible lower.. Just walk into the dealer and tell them you want that truck for $21k out the door and take it for a test drive and sit down with them to make them feel like you are interested but dont make them think you are in love with the truck and stay firm on the $21k price.. If they cant meet you price then give them your phone # and leave the Dealership.. Im sure they will be calling you very soon.. You can probably even go with $20k for a price, Just be sure to stay firm and dont let them persuade you into anything.. If it doesnt work go to the next closest dealership, I got $8k off my 2010 FX2.

 

I was a car salesman for a little while and then moved to service. The nearest dealer is 12 miles away and I used to work for them. I'll never buy there...

I was also thinking 20K since there are three new 2011's to the left of it. They are a little out of my price range so I will see where I get with the '10 STX.

Yeah Thats true about the 2011's coming in, That gives you even more leverage.. You should walk in there and offer $20k out the door and see what they say.. I'm sure they want to move units off their lot to make room for the new ones.

 

My brother got a 2010 XL Decor package and all 2wd 4.6 Screw from 24 I believe... 303xx I think was the sticker. He paid 22 or 24 I think

 

4x4? Around here that would be a pretty decent price...
