Wheel and Tire Specs w/BDS Lift
Wheel and Tire Specs w/BDS Lift
I was going to lift my 2010 FX4 CrewCab with the Rancho 4" kit and use my stock wheels but I decided to go for the 6" BDS kit with the gas shocks. I want to go with the Goodyear Duratracs. Had them on my silverado and they were perfect for my needs. Would a 325/60R20 fit with this lift? Also can you still use the stock 18" spare?
I also want to go with the KMC Addicts Matte black and machined but am not sure what backspacing/offset to go with. I dont want the wheels to stick out too so far that I need to add extended flares but want them to fit also. The sizes are backspace 4.5/offset -12 and backspace 5.71/offset 18.
Thanks for the help.

I don't have a BDS kit but I do have a Fabtech kit so I'll throw in my $.02 here to at least get you going. From what I recall you will need the -12mm offset wheel with the BDS kit and the 325/60/20 tires will fit with some trimming. I'm running 35/12.50/20 Trail Grapplers (they are actually 35.04" tall and 13.39" tall compared to your tires which will be 35.60" tall and 13" wide) on a 20"x10" wheel with 5" backspacing and mine very seldom ever rub now that I've trimmed the front bumper valance. Prior to trimming they rubbed badly but now they only rub if I turn into a steep driveway too fast. As for the flares technically you'll need some since the tires wheel stick out some but it doesn't look bad at all without them and depending on your tires you may not even need them. Knock on wood so far I have 0 rock chips since installing my lift/tires/wheels about 3000 miles ago.
Go to BDS website and look to see if they have any backspacing requirements. The most popular combo is a 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of BS. I think both wheels will fit. The only thing I'd be concerned about is the OEM wheel fitting with a tire that wide.
Thanks for the info. According to BDS's website, they say the following "37" x 13.50" w/17 x 9 and 5-1/2" back spacing".
So is it safe to say that I would need to go with the 4.5" backspacing or am I backwords and would need to go with the 5.71".
I'm new to the aftermarket wheels and just want to make sure I order the right set up.
Thanks

I've got the 6in BDS lift on my 10 screw, it was put on by my dealer along with the 18in D1ck cepek rims and 35x12.50 toyos. Here's what it looks like, unfortunately since I didn't put it on myself I'm not sure of the rim width or backspacing off hand. I do know however that there is barely any space between the inside part of the tire and the spindle, I can get like two fingers between them. But because of this they are tucked in the fenders pretty good.
