2011 F150 delayed?

I just came across this a few minutes ago. I wonder if it's true?

Ford F-150 Intro Delayed Due to Parts Issues

December 9, 2010
Gary Fackler -- HispanicBusiness

Ford has delayed shipment of its 2011 Ford F-150 pickup truck because replacement parts and maintenance items have not yet been distributed to dealerships.

"It's a negative for Ford because of the lost revenue and lost volume," said Jim Hall, a leading auto expert, in an interview with Bloomberg. "It's (F-150) one of the most profitable vehicles in their (Ford) range."

The delay is doubly unfortunate this year as Ford had hoped to establish a more fuel-efficient powerplant as the workhorse for the F-150 line, and has launched a significant marketing effort to migrate American truck buyers from conventional V-8 powered pickup trucks to turbocharged V-6s that offer comparable performance, but better fuel efficiency.

Ford laid the groundwork for the new V-6 engine in its Ford Taurus SHO line and as an optional engine in its Ford Flex crossover vehicles. The new engine performs as well as a larger V-8 because it uses a turbocharger to effectively 'force feed' a smaller engine, making it gulp larger volumes of fuel and air, thereby producing more horsepower and torque while consuming less gas.

It is true, saw this the other day. However, it is not all F150s, and it has to do with the availability of some parts. You can also find some 2011's at the dealers right now.
