Viper 5901 Remote Start Problem....Need Help

i have a viper 5901 alarm installed on my '10 f150. i have also added the window modules and interior sirens. everything works perfectly other than the remote start. no matter what i try, i just cant get the remote start to program. i tried everything recommended on the install instructions as well as call DEI tech support and try pretty much what they told me to do which is 1) dont wait until security light turns off before putting 2nd key in 2) wait longer between keys (atleast 4secs). the only thing i have not tried is they said i can see if it works in diesel mode which keeps the ignition on longer. other than that, they said i would need the 556u module and a physical key in there for it to work. the problem with this is they first said if my key as a "SM" on it, then i need the module but if it dont (it only has a "S") then i shouldnt need it. it gets really cold at night where i live and it sucks that i have remote start but cant use it lol please help me.

^^^ thanks man! so PKALL is the solution? i saw in that thread that people had different solutions, i definitely would like to stay away from buying another key. btw, im using the Canmax400 right now, so would PKALL add on to that? is it better to go that route than the Ford PATS interface the other guy was talking about?

Honestly i could not tell you which is "better"....what i can tell you is that the PKALL module works perfectly in my truck after my LSS received the updated directions from DEI. I 'think' you would need to choose either the PKALL or Canmax400, but not both... aren't they both bypass modules doing the same thing? Sorry I could not be of more help...this is about the limit of my expertise in this area.

Hope it works out for you...
