Ford dealer installed spray in liner

My Ford dealer quoted a better price than Line-X for a spray in bed liner. Any reason not to go with the Ford liner? Both have lifetime warrantee I believe. TIA

I don't know of any dealers that do them themselves, they sub it out. Find out what brand they sell. It's my opinion that you do not get any better than Line-x, so I would pay more for a Line-X.

I have the "factory sprayed in bedliner with Ford Accessory badge on the side of the bed", $470.00 option on the truck and I can tell you it is much thinner sprayed than an aftermarket Line-X or Rhino liner. For my needs it's fine, but if you haul anything heavy or large I bet it will be cut through the first time something hits hard or slides around. Just my opinion of what I have.

Does getting a Line-X void warrantee on the parts it's applied to?

I don't see how it could when dealers offer a spray-in liner.

Never heard of it doing so.

If your truck was built in KC, it was likely done by Line-X.

Ford's spray in liner is called the TOFF F-1. When I bought my pickup last month it was something I negotiated into my deal. Other pickups on the lot that had them already installed had a $795 price on the window sticker for it. My salesman told me it costs the dealership $380. They did mine right at the dealership about a week after I took delivery. It looks similar to the Line-X I had in my trade in but maybe a little thinner. It looks good and I'm very happy with it.

I negotiated for a dealer-done spray-in bedliner. While the surface of the liner looks fine to me, they didn't do a very good job. Couple of paint hose impressions in the surface, one spot rubbed off down to paint probably from the hose, and I spent three hours cleaning off overspray droplets that somehow made it as far as the forward side of the side mirrors.

If I were to do it all over again, I'd definitely go with one of the top two most-frequently recommended aftermarket options.

I would be worried about who is applying it rather than the type of product although I would recommend Line-X.

I would ask the dealer who will be applying the product and check their work.
