Do you manually calculate your mileage?
I have only used Sunoco 87 octane (now PetroCan) maybe I should try another brand.
Hand calcs. have close enough for me to go by the display . Husky is a convenient stop for me so usually that's what I get, 87. I ran a tank of 91 once, didn't notice any difference though.

I'm in central Iowa. FX4, BF Goodrich TA/KO's at 40psi cold, front 2" level kit, close to 70,000 miles on the truck. Running winter blend 10% ethanol fuel, my last tank of highway driving (cruise set at 75mph) was 13.7mpg hand calculated.

Winter fuel sucks, but I'm surprised at how much the level kit dropped my fuel economy. Central Iowa is flat, few hills. When the kit was installed, it knocked almost 2mpg off instantly. I run about 2-3 tanks of fuel per week, so I'm 99% sure the level kit caused the step-change in mpg.

Granted its been windy too, but over the course of a 1500 mile week it should all average out.

The thing rolls forward alot easier than it goes back..

explain your method...

The important thing to look at here is IMP gallons.

33 mi/imp gal =27.48mi/US gal.

Still impressive, but more believable.

I guess so!!!

I don't believe that a 5.4 gets that kinda mileage...

my 4.6 2V with 3.73 and 31.5" tires gets on average 11L per 100km..

I can get better, but that giving it no gas when accelerating and driving like a grandpa..

I might get 10L per 100km..

I in no way believe this guy is getting 8L per 100km on the highway..

I have been tracking my truck since I drove it off the lot.

Crap, frign prices went up over night. Around $5.20/gal (for our US friends) ($1.12/l)
Hand calcd. 20.54 mp imp.gal = 17.11 mp US.gal.
87 with up to 10% ethanol at a Husky.

We are being completely hooped here in Canada for the price of gas.

I'll be towing from southern Ontario to Florida in February. Is there a national chain of gas stations in the US where I can get 100% gasoline (E0)? I'll do what ever I can to max my mileage.

My wife is already looking for an "Old Man Hat" for me. I'm forcing myself to drive slower in preparation for my new toy. I'm used to my compact getting ~30mpg (Imp).

Nope. Each state here has their own rules, some require E10 across the board. You also have metro areas with their own rules, as dictated by the EPA. Don't sweat it, our gas is considerably cheaper here than yours.
