Reverse Sensor on 2010 F-150
Wondering if anybody had the same issue that I was confronted with last night. I went to move my truck and when I put my truck in reverse, the reverse sensor alarm was constantly sounding. So I put the truck in park and went to see what I was close to since it was dark out and I saw nothing in the way. I put back into reverse and alarm sounded again. I thought What the Heck. I decided to clean off the sensors since there was ice covering my truck and once I removed the ice sheet the alarm stopped sounding.
Question: is there anything I can do to stop this without shutting the sensor off?
Thanks and happy holidays.

I'm having the exact same problem with mine after taking it to the carwash two nights ago. While it's not the first time I've washed my truck, it is the first time I've done so when the outside temp was consistently below -3 degrees out. Think I'll give the sensors a good wiping with a clean cloth, and see if that does anything. I was worried water from the underbody spray got inside some wiring and messed things up. I've got the extended warranty so I wasn't concerned about cost, just wasn't looking forward to the 40 mile round trip to drop it off to the dealer, only to do it again when it was fixed.

Doesn't rain-x damage paint?
