Be careful what you wish for.

Go over to syncmyride.com and read about all the issues in the Owner-to-Owner forum.

Lots of really pissed off owners right now.

2014 more likely.

2011 - has the new productivity screen.

2012 - productivity screen will be only 1 year old and is light years ahead of what anyone else is doing, so little reason for them to make big changes.

2013 - last year of this model so will they redo the interior before the big change? probably not.

2014 - all new model, all new interior with truck version of MyFord Touch

This is what I think will happen.

2014? Well that's when I plan on trading in the 09 then. I Just got the green light to upgrade rims & tires to keep me happy until the new body style comes out, MY14 I guess. The new 6.2 engine and LCD screen is enough for me to want a new one right now. I WILL be getting a Raptor in 2014.

it would be cool but I don't think the trucks need it. I hate when a manufacture applies one application across the line-up. If I had a say it wouldn't fly in the F-150

Talking Laughter is good for the soul.

MGD,

I was hoping you'd give me some advice. I was outside hand-crankin' my Model T to turn the engine over, and started considering buying one of them there new fangled machines that starts up when you turn a key inside the interior cabin of the automobile.

What are your thoughts on that? Too much tech, or is the time right for me to make a change? KBB doesn't even have the Model T listed for an Excellent trade value, and she's fully loaded with opening door entryways and sliding-glass windows for fresh air while motoring!

Thanks!

PS Iceman, I think Rambo is dead-on. I also don't think you'll see MFT in any Ford vehicle other than those that are refreshed/redesigned. Oh, don't let anyone get to ya on the forums. I've had some people on here hate at me for wanting the F-150 to have more tech, better quality(NVH!), etc. Doesn't matter that I've spent upwards of 150k on F-150's over the years, some people take any negative comment as heresy. Let it slide; the majority of the guys on this forum seem like pretty decent folk anyways.

PPS What kind of troubles are people having with MFT? I'm fairly sure only the new Edge has it right now (Explorer not yet available is it?). Those are the first 2 Ford vehicles to get it, with the '12 Focus early next year being the 3rd.

- I was actually thinking of you, bud - yer were quite vociferous in yer criticisms w.r.t. the displays ( or lack thereof) in the new trucks

AS I have previously stated - I am NOT a Luddite ...

However - in my truck - it's a full-time job just dodgin' dem iZombies with 747 HID lighting, lol.

BYW - hand-cranking is so last year - a hole in the floor fer yer feet is the future.

Now - I gotta go and kill supper, cut wood and find some more candles.
