Thank you again guys! I'm mighty proud to own this thing. It's nice to see more and more local guys on the forums here. Yeah keep an eye out for me on the road lol, I'm hard to miss at night with really bright fogs and LED license plate lights on the back, along with an FMB surf board sticker on my back window lol. I absolutely love the heated mirrors and heated back window on these cold frosty mornings. However, I do miss the heated seats I had in my 2001. I wish I had the rear slider though, but this truck was the closest successful search result with what I wanted. I can't wait for the first big snow storm! Should be interesting with AdvanceTrac and Roll Stability Control etc. I wish my fuel mileage would quit dropping lol.

 

Nice truck! Someday i will trade in my 02 fx4 and get a used 2011! What did the dealer give you for your truck, if you don't mind my asking? How many miles did you have on it?

 

How is it going with the gotts mod? I like to do the same with mine but I want to know if there is a difference in performance...

Thanks! I got $5,000 trade in for my 2001 F150 4x4 XLT 4.6L SuperCab with Off Road package and 145,000 miles.

Well, before the gotts mod I was getting 18.3 mpg. After the mod, it dropped to 18.2 mpg and it has stayed there ever since. Even after 4 hours of highway driving yesterday it hasnt budged at all.
The only thing I've noticed is that it's sounds a little throatier when you whomp on it a little, but that's it. I still haven't decided yet if I'll keep the intake like that.

ohio here too... i'm from youngstown area... i did the gotts mod as well but i lost about 1 mpg afterwards.. i put my stock set up back in and it went back up to my norm, pre gotts, average. I have K&n and cat back y-pipes on it already with no mufflers.. straight pipes.. sounds great.. nice truck! looks just like mine, i have ext cab though, no 4 doors for me.

 

I remember you when I first joined this site, I got my truck out there in Lorain county, it came from mullinax but I bought it thru John Lance ford in westlake. I'm right next door to you (next town over) and a couple blocks from Stompy.

Do you still talk to that kid who got banned from here? Matt I think his name was he had an 04 XLT screw 2wd with a 4.6 and tons of trouble with it (most from his own making)
