What is this badge??? 2011??

OK, this one has me puzzled..
I was in Lumberton, Tx today and noticed the strange looking "vent" style badge on a lariat.

Ford.com does not show a vent styled badge nor have any of the 2011 pics shown it.

The truck did have the 2011 instrument cluster... IF it took him as long to get his plates as it did mine he had to have had it 5 week or so..

has anyone else seen a badge like this?

link to pic if you want to zoom in..

It kinda looks like the super duty's. But is probably just an aftermarket fake engine vent.

You aren't going to see any privately owned 2011's on the street yet. None have been released to dealers. If it's a 2011, it's a Ford-owned truck - test mule or press pool. You sure it didn't have manufacturers plates on it?

Yes, I am 100% sure it had regular Texas Plates on it. I didnt think anyone had 2011's yet so i started trying to see inside and a few miles down the road we were stopped side by side at a red light and i could see his dash and it had the 2011 style messages center between the gauges..

I do not disagree but it would have to be a full replacmet badge, there didnt seem to be any lines between the stock badge and the surround.

Edit:
Although by going to the stylin link above and selecting the 2010 truck that looks to be the same badge... lol

Agreed ^.. That's ridiculous. The 09+ badges are amazing compared to older F series badges. If this picture is legit then..... WTF ford?!

Calm down. Ford production line would NOT put all chrome handles on a truck from the factory so someone has been messing with the chrome on this truck
