2010 F150-Normal or Not Normal Noises

2010 F150 SCREW RWD 355 LS
Noise #1 is a whine when slowing from 50 to 40 and also from 30 to 20. It can be heard while accelerating also, but not nearly as loud. (Dealer hears it to, don't know what to do)

Noise #2 is a very low pitch rumble (like a helicopter from a distance) at 70 to 75 mph. Seems to be most noticeable when I hit a bump in the road.

Noise #3 is a bang, clunk sound while backing up on a rough surface like my uneven rock driveway. Can be heard driving forward some, but really noticeable in reverse.

I have driven a 2008 30,000 miles and a 2009 35,000 miles without any of these sounds.

Any thoughts?

If you have a split drive shaft, I'd be suspect of the carrier bearing.
My '76 GM would go out every 30,000 miles and have some of your truck's symptoms.

Thanks for the replies. Take it in next Tuesday for a "try to find the source" exam.

Couple of ideas -

I could hear a rattle of metal when backing in my driveway. I started hitting things with a rubber mallet - was my drawbar rattling around in the hitch. I wedged some wood in and the rattle is gone.

If you have your box line-x then check the bed bolts and make sure they are all tight. I had friend who got line-x and all of the tailgate screws were stripped. Ford put some larger stainless screws in, rattles are gone.

Took the truck in today for whining noise. After dealer talked to Ford engineers, it's a tranny issue. Engineer wants them to run some diagnostics. Giving me a loaner for a couple of days. We will see.

For noise #1 = Ford says replace transmission with a new one.
For noise #2 = Still investigating, thinking it's a drive shaft imbalance.
For Noise #3 = Tailgate step rattles when terrain is uneven

1200 when I noticed all the noises. 3500 by the time they scheduled it in the shop.

Got the truck back today. Only had chance to drive it 5 miles so far, but it appears new tranny got rid of the whining noises at least.
