seat vibration

Dealer says ford is aware of pass seat vibration, and working on a fix. I brought my 2010 in for service and mentioned it, so it is on record. He said 3 people complained about the same issue today.

I noticed mine will squeek on certain road surfaces. Not really a rattle, but a slight metallic chirp, it is faint and can really only be heard with the radio down low.

Add mine to the list. I took it to the dealer to check out and they were surprised. We checked another truck in for service and it had the same problem. Hopefully they come up with a fix for this. It's about my only complaint with this truck

I have buckets in my '10 XLT 4x4 and no seat vibration.

Sounds as tho something spinning is either un-true or out of balance. I'd suspect the drive shaft or tires and possibly an un-true wheel. That's my opinion. Possibly the tire alignment, also.

I feel for you guys cuz I've had the same problems before, and finding the trouble is a beeyatch.

And until the dealer replicates the problem or enough folks complain, they just don't seem interested.

That's been my experience dealing with warranty issues.

My seat squeaks and rattles, too. It drives me crazy!! I had the dealer look at it last time I had it in for an oil change and lubricating the track helped. It still shakes and rattles, though, so I am really glad to hear that a fix is being considered! Keep us posted!

Cool seat vibration

I also have this problem on my 2010. It has been happening since about 1200km. The noise comes from the passenger side buckle. If you grab the buckle and move it around while the squeak is happening the noise stops. There appears to be a small plastic bushing on the limiting tab that is damaged. There are 2 tabs that limit the travel of the buckle. I think mine is a case of a metal on metal rub of the 2 stamped parts. I brought in for service and was told this is normal. I then played the audio from my cell phone in the service bay. The tech immediately agreed to order a new buckle. Hopefully this is the problem. I'll try to post the audio if someone can tell me how.

I have had this issue from day one. Also my air bag light stayed on now and then.. it got realy bad. they replaced the lower seat tract, adn it got better ( the airbag light ) some module was not 'booting' properly for the safty restraint system.

well. after a slow and short drive in a bean field. the air bag issue is back.
you should have seen the seat driving 5-10 mph.. wow. thought it was trying to escape..

the dealership has a list of my issues. and a safety issue is nothing to ignore.
"while the airbag lights are illuminated. this does not mean the air bags wont deploy. it only means they might not."
nice
later all
