I have an 09 f150 supercab or crew cab..whatever (ext cab), not 4 normal size doors...haha ..does anybody have any instructions or ideas how to get the back rest off? Reason being... I'm building a box for my speakers (because i love my speakers and do NOT want to get low profile subs to fit) and i want to raise my seats... or at least attempt to... the bottom part of the seat will be easy enough, but the back rest i can't get off to even look.... so.. anybody know how to get the back rest off?? ANy help would be great. thanks ahead of time.

 

I don't believe you can, I think you can only do it if you have the four doors.. Someone said here on the forum that if you have the STX with the supercab that you can't do it.. I'm in the same boat.. I want to get behind the seats, but no such luck so far!

 

If both of you have scab (supercab) trucks then just pop out the access panel on the center seat belt cover and remove the two nuts then lift cover off. Reach behind the seat back and undo the two clips holding the seat in place and just pull up to remove.

Do a search for seat back removal for the 04-08 trucks, the cab is the same from 04-present on the supercabs so the rear seat removal is most likely the same.
