Did you read this thread? And many other threads here discussing the new engines?

Which would be better if you are adding a 6" lift and 35s? I would guess the 5.0 or 6.2. Thoughts?

I'd imagine low-end torque - and lots of it - would be yer top priority. Hence: EB.

The problem is, some folks will balk at a big, brawny, manly lifted truck with a V6 in it

Other stuff:

A re-gear of course, to help preserve the tranny.

Bigger brakes would help as well - most folks overlook this teeny detail

Oh yeah - something to correct the speedo/shift points because those will be off. And these do not exist yet except in the tuners' labs. (AFAIK)

I'm the Op that started this thread and just wanted you guys to know that no matter what this truck will not be lifted, leveled or lowered. It will remain stock. As I stated before I do tow but only about 4 times a year on a 16hr round trip along the east coast

Pmason,

What trim would you buy in the EcoBoost?

Do you want 4x4 or 4x2?

Do you want the OEM Nav?

The reason I ask is because the price difference would be substantial. FX2 with EcoBoost, Max Tow and luxury package is about $9,000.00 less than the Harley. Not to mention the savings in gas.

I'm at the same decision point. (2000, 5.4 with 203K) and hopefully ordering a 2011 in the spring. I'm thinking I'll go with the 5.0 but the EB may be tempting, I'll wait until they come out and people get some real world mileage numbers on them. But my gut still says 5.0

4x2 OEM Navi doesn't matter
