2010 Radio cut out and then stall
2010 Radio cut out and then stall
I posted this on some of the other forums, just hoping to get more answers. I thought I saw a thread with 09/10's stalling but couldn't find it with the search function.
So on my way to work this morning I had a few odd electrical things happen
1.) went to pass someone and when I changed lanes, gave the truck a good amount of gas. When the downshift occured the radio cut out for a second, but the clock stayed working on the information display.
2.) hit a bump in the city while making a right turn and again same thing as occurance number 1.
3.) Going strait truck (approx 15 seconds after occurance #2) truck stalled. Oil light came on, I drifted over stoped the truck and then restarted and drove the final 2 miles to work without instance. I am not sure if the radio cut out this time or not.
All of this happened within about 5 miles of each other.
This weekend I was working on installing an amp for my new speakers I installed last week. I had the battery diconnected because I was working around the elctrical system, but I was only running signal wires. I wasn't pulling the radio or dash out at this point.
At first when the radio was shutting down I thought that my "add a fuse" installed at #41 that is being used for the amp remote wire was loose. But the stall leads to something else. I am going to check battery connections to make sure they are all tight. I torqued them down pretty good yesterday but I'll check again. I may even pull the "add a fuse" out and see if it does it on the ride home. The amp is not installed yet nore are the power wires ran, only the RCA's and signal wire. I am due for an oil change this week so I may have the dealer look at the truck too. Any other ideas?
its a 4.6L 3V with just over 10,000 miles
