LED or harley tails?

Whats the route everyones going down? Love the LED but not sure if they are too tacky Harelys are nice for a stock look. I need to pull the trigger on a set but have no idea what to do. If i do the LEDs and dont like them i might nite shade and add a line of fire for all LED look or harelys for a stock look. Any ideas?

I would go with these LEDS, they look very similar to the HD lights, however you get the functionality of the LED, and they light up quite nicely I must say..

I'll be getting some of these LEDs they day after I take delivery on a new one sometime next spring, that OEM 'bright trim' has to go!

I think the Harleys look best on black or dark gray truck, but it's all a matter of personal taste. You cannot go wrong with either choice.

I'm a purist. I'm not a fan of aftermarket appearance parts. I prefer OEM. After some point, the vehicle looks like a rolling ad for Pep Boys neon light accessories.

I have Harley tails coming for my black 2010 STX.

I just put on LED tail lights and the ones I got off ebay from SabreSport had resistors prewired in. All you had to do was plug and play. Super sweet and they're the black ones. Really nice and really bright during the day!

Maybe just me, but the LED lights look cheap. They scream aftermarket. But it comes down to preferrence. I prefer to keep the clean OE look, so I went with Harley heads and tails.

dubsesd -- do you do any work in that garage? haha. it looks ultra clean and no tools or anything.. just kidding your truck looks awesome and your background in the pictures are even better! keep it up man!!

I miss my silver vehicle the most.. It absorbs surround colors and can kinda morph into it's surroundings and doesn't show dirt as much as black does.

Go with the Harley lamps, aftermarket lamps almost always suck. They leak 90% of the time. Most of them are not approved by DOT either.

Some of the LEDs are nice, but I'm a fan of OEM, also. I lean more towards LED bulbs in the stock assemblies.

led bulbs in stock assemblies are not bright because the taillight is not designed to reflect direct led lighting. i love the oem look, and my LED tails look completely oem. i have even been asked if they are new for 2011 by a few people. and my oem taillights started holding moisture btw, and the led ones do not, even after a hot wash in cold weather. my last set by the same company worked great and looked the same as when i bought them after 6 years
