glad i found this thread. My stx has no tint at all, even factory, im coming from an fx4 with factory tint so i want it back, and want to do the fronts too.

So for any NY people, 20% seem about right between dark, and not too dark to get ticketed?

I didn't care for 5% when I had it... makes driving at night too dangerous, especially in the city, unless you roll your side windows down so you can see people or bikes and so on... a car that forgot to turn on it's headlights after dusk is nearly invisible when viewed through 5%.

Tint on the front windshield is just insane. Put your sunglasses on at night to experience it... very dangerous and unless you only drive during the day, not very wise, IMHO.

No question though, 5% looks the best, and the tinted windshields look great, I'd love the privacy and would love it on a sunny day, but there is no way I'd ever drive one at night or dusk/dawn, and would very much prefer the drivers around me didn't have it, so they can see me and avoid me all that much more easily!
